What's new
Every feature, fix, and improvement shipped to Biltit.
June 2026
Reliable notifications across web and mobile
Notifications now fire reliably for task assignments, task status changes, new field reports, being added to a project, chat and direct messages, submittal/variation-order approvals, and overdue tasks — no matter where the action happens, including from the mobile app, which previously stayed silent. You no longer get notified about status changes you made yourself. The mobile activity feed shows the right icon and opens the right screen for every type, and the app icon badge clears when you open Activity.
Mobile: client sign-off on phases
Phases that need client sign-off now show on the mobile project screen with their status — who signed off and when — and you can approve or revoke a sign-off right there. This replaces a placeholder that never worked.
Mobile: record payments and expenses on the go
You can now add, edit, and delete payments received and project expenses right from the mobile Budget tab — tap Add on either list, or tap any entry to change it. The budget figures also read clearly now and match the app's colors.
Mobile: optional phases and task detail fixes
The mobile app now matches the web: you can create a task without picking a phase, and tasks with no phase appear together under "Unphased". The task screen's Note button now jumps you straight to the notes field, the Duration is shown properly instead of a dash, and attachments load correctly for tasks that aren't tied to a phase.
Phases are now optional
Projects no longer force every task into a phase. New projects start as a simple task list, and you add phases only when you want a roadmap — from the new Phases section in project Settings. Tasks without a phase live in an "Unphased" group that shows up on the board, timeline, and files. You can move a task in or out of a phase from its details panel, and deleting a phase now moves its tasks to Unphased instead of blocking. Client phase-gates are now a lighter, optional "client sign-off."
Client portal: phase sign-off and downloadable files
Phases that need client sign-off now show clearly on the portal timeline, and once a phase is complete you can mark it approved — recording who approved it and when, with the option to revoke. Shared files can be downloaded directly and show the right file-type icon, messages carry their context and DECISION / ACTION tags, and money and dates are shown consistently throughout.
Team tab shows workload and performance at a glance
The project Team tab now shows each member's open tasks, overdue count, completion rate, and on-time delivery, plus a summary of the whole team's open and overdue work and average completion. You can search members and sort by name, role, open tasks, completion, or overdue. Adding or removing a member now confirms with a message, and a clear empty state guides you when no one is assigned yet.
Editable contract value with a change history
You can now change a project's contract value right from the Budget tab and add a note explaining why. Every change is saved with the old and new amount, the note, and who made it, so there's a clear history you can open any time.
Budget: edit entries, clearer spending, and an over-budget alert
Payments, expenses, and change orders can now be edited, not just added or deleted. Spending by category is shown as proportional bars with each category's share, and a warning appears when spending passes 80% of the funds received from the client. Change orders now show who approved them and when, with clearer dates throughout.
Larger file uploads now work
Uploading a file bigger than about 1 MB used to fail with an error. Files up to 50 MB now upload correctly.
Files: version history and an approval workflow
Re-uploading a file with the same name now keeps it as a new version of the original instead of a separate copy, so each file shows a tidy version history. Open any file to see every version with who uploaded it and when, download an older version, and run it through review: submit for review, approve, or request revisions, with the full approval trail recorded. Approved versions are clearly marked as the current one.
Files: see who uploaded what, approval status, and bulk actions
The project files area now shows who uploaded each file and its approval status at a glance, and a small Client tag marks anything shared with the client. Select several files at once to share them, mark them internal, move them to another phase, or delete them in one go. Empty categories and searches now show a helpful message instead of a blank space, and uploads show clear progress as each file goes up.
A clearer, touch-friendly timeline
The project timeline now reads at a glance: each bar fills to show how far along the task is, high and urgent tasks get a colored edge stripe, and overdue tasks are ringed in red. A new Today button jumps the view straight to the current date, and there's an extra zoom-out level to see more weeks at once. You can now drag and resize bars with touch on a tablet, not just a mouse.
Task details: activity log, quick actions, and a start date
Each task now keeps an activity log — who changed the status, assignee, dates, priority, or title, and when — right at the bottom of the task panel. There's also a new actions menu to copy a direct link to a task or delete it, you can set a start date as well as a due date, comments read more clearly with avatars, and the small delete buttons on subtasks and files are now easy to tap. The task panel also scrolls properly so nothing gets cut off at the bottom.
A more delightful task board
The kanban board now drags like it should: pick up a card and it lifts and follows your cursor while the other cards glide aside to open a space, then drops in instantly with no lag. Cards show more at a glance — a colored priority stripe, plus checklist, attachment, and comment counts — and you can quick-add a task at the top of any column (just type a title and press Enter to keep going). Columns show a count and a little progress bar and can be collapsed to focus. Land a task in Done and you get a small burst of confetti. Keyboard and touch dragging now work too.
Clearer dashboards
Your home dashboard now greets you by name with today's date, and the summary cards lead with what matters — including an Overdue count so late work can't hide. Each project dashboard opens with a header showing overall progress and how many days are left on the schedule, the stat icons now match what they mean, phases are colour-coded by status, and the task list surfaces overdue and in-progress work first so you see what needs attention at a glance.
Interactive timeline and a refreshed projects view
The project timeline is now interactive: click any bar to open the task, drag a bar to reschedule it, drag its edges to change duration, and schedule undated tasks with a single tap. There's a zoom control, a status legend, and clearer, easier-to-read bars. The Projects list got a visual refresh too — each project now has a colored cover and monogram so they're easier to tell apart at a glance, on web and mobile.
Rates and Commercial valuation for subcontractor projects
Subcontractor projects now have a Commercial tab. Set a unit rate and a contract quantity on each BOQ item and the app values the work for you: the value of approved work, the contract sum, percent complete by value, and what's remaining. Approved work is the conservative, certifiable number, so the figure is the one you can put on a payment application. Unpriced items are shown separately and left out of the totals until you price them.
Material Submittal and Variation Order task types
Tasks now have a type — Checklist (default), BOQ Item, Material Submittal, or Variation Order. Submittals run through a Draft → Submitted → Revisions → Approved workflow with a revision counter so consultants always see a numbered rev. Variation Orders track cost and time impact, get an auto-assigned VO-001 number per project, and have their own client-approval flow. Pick the type when creating a task, and the task drawer shows the relevant workflow.
New Subcontractor project track
When you create a project you can now choose a Subcontractor track. These projects track real quantities — supplied, installed, and approved — instead of subtask checklists. Site engineers log installed quantities from the field, project managers log supplied and approved with the consultant's signed approval attached, and progress reflects only what's been approved. The mobile app lets engineers log directly on site.
May 2026
Better link previews and search visibility
The homepage and blog posts now show rich preview cards with a branded image when shared on social media or messaging apps, and the site gives search engines clearer information about each page. This helps more of the right people find Biltit.
Subscription plans and workspace limits
Workspaces now have plan-based limits for projects, team members, and storage. Free workspaces can run 1 project with up to 3 members. Paid plans unlock more capacity. The dashboard shows real storage usage and alerts when you're approaching your limit.
Simplified project workflow
Removed the approval system for files and phase gates. The workflow is now simpler — files are shared directly with clients and phases move through statuses without requiring formal approvals.
Edit and delete announcements
Authors can now edit or delete their own announcements. Use the pencil icon to make changes inline, or the trash icon to remove an announcement permanently.
Remove team members from a project
Project managers and owners can now remove a member from a specific project. On web, use the × button next to the member on the Project Team page. On mobile, tap the × on a team member card in the project overview.
Account menu now opens all screens
Team, Reports, Attendance, Settings, Notification Settings, and What's New in the Account tab now open their actual screens instead of showing a coming soon message.
Field report history opens past reports
The History button on the daily field report screen now correctly opens your past field reports.
Gate approvals now work from the home dashboard
Approve and Reject buttons on pending phase gates in the leader dashboard now update the gate status immediately instead of navigating to the project.
On-site count scoped to your projects
The on-site team count on the leader dashboard now shows only people checked in to your projects, not everyone across the workspace.
Project tab bar highlights active tab
Tapping Tasks, Files, Timeline, or Budget from a project now highlights the correct tab before navigating.
Filter tasks by phase
The By Phase filter in the project task list now groups all tasks under their respective phases.
Notification quiet hours display fixed
Quiet hours options in notification settings now correctly show their divider lines when push notifications are toggled on.
Budget balance corrected on project dashboard
The project dashboard was showing a negative budget figure when no contract value was set. It now correctly shows the available balance (money received minus money spent).
Task bar layout fixed on Android
Task cards in the project task list no longer stretch vertically on Android. The swipe action buttons now align correctly with the card height.
Task due date and assignee now save correctly
Changing a task's due date or reassigning it to a team member now saves properly. Tap the assignee row to pick from the project's team, or tap the due date row to open the date picker.
Gallery button icon fixed in field reports
The button to attach photos from your gallery in a field report now shows the correct icon.
Chat keyboard no longer covers your message
On Android, the keyboard used to slide up over the text input when typing in a chat. The composer now stays visible above the keyboard.
AI Agent Command Center
New Command Center dashboard in workspace admin showing all 7 AI agents — live status, run history, token usage charts, and a self-improvement feedback loop. Rate agent outputs to make them smarter over time.
Agent self-improvement
AI agents now learn from your feedback. Accept, modify, or reject agent outputs from the Command Center — agents use your corrections as examples to improve future responses automatically.
Skeleton loading states
Pages now show smooth pulsing placeholders while loading instead of plain text. Dashboard, projects, and tasks all feel more polished during data loads.
Designed empty states
When you have no projects or tasks, you now see a helpful message with a clear action instead of a blank page. Each empty screen explains what the section does and how to get started.
Better readability across the app
Bumped minimum text sizes across all pages for better readability, especially on mobile devices and in bright conditions. Labels and meta text are now easier to read at a glance.
Keyboard navigation improvements
Added visible focus rings to buttons, cards, navigation links, and filter controls. Keyboard-only users can now see exactly which element is focused.
Time-aware greeting
The home dashboard now greets you with 'Good morning', 'Good afternoon', or 'Good evening' based on your local time.
WhatsApp-quality chat experience
Chat now supports photo sharing from camera or gallery, reply-to-message quoting, emoji reactions with double-tap and long-press, live typing indicators, delivery status checks, date separators, and smarter message grouping. Long-press any message for quick reactions, reply, or copy.
Field reports history screen
New reports history screen shows all submitted field reports grouped by date, with summary cards for today, this week, and all-time counts. Each report displays the project, submitter, severity level, and a preview of work done.
Mobile app UX overhaul — search, chat, and navigation fixes
Search now works across projects, tasks, and team members. Chat and field reports updated to the dark theme. Account tab buttons show proper coming-soon alerts instead of crashing. Removed duplicate screens and fixed broken navigation links throughout the app.
Improved project navigation and access
Project managers now have a dedicated Projects tab for quick access to all projects. Project detail features top tabs for Tasks, Files, Chat, Timeline, and Budget. The project screen is fully migrated to the dark theme. Fixed broken navigation links across the app.
Dashboard polish and UI cleanup
PM dashboard now shows refined KPI cards with reference labels, progress bars, and an approvals queue with approve/reject buttons. Field worker home has a cleaner 3-card stats row and a My Projects section. Removed legacy drawer navigation code and standardized icon styling.
Redesigned task experience on mobile
Task lists now show filter chips (All, My Tasks, Overdue, Blocked), priority-coded cards with colored borders, and collapsible status sections ordered by urgency. Create tasks instantly with the new + button and bottom sheet. Task details feature a status stepper, quick action buttons, inline subtask checklists, and an activity feed.
Mobile app redesigned with dark theme and new navigation
The mobile app now uses the v3 Drawing Office dark theme with cobalt accents. Navigation has been simplified with role-based bottom tabs — project managers get a Dashboard tab, field workers get a focused Projects view. The hamburger menu is replaced by a dedicated Account tab with team, reports, and settings.
Streamlined project creation with team setup
Creating a new project is now faster — just name it, pick a template, and add your team. Client info, dates, budget, and location can be filled in from project settings. A helpful alert shows what's still missing.
Improved site location picker
The site location map is now always visible. You can click anywhere on the map to place the pin directly, without needing to search for an address first. Reverse geocoding automatically fills in the address when you drop a pin. Much better for locations with poor address coverage.

Redesigned mobile navigation
The mobile app now uses a cleaner 3-tab layout (Home, Chat, Notifications) with slide-in menus for workspace and project features. Tasks are displayed as a grouped list with swipe actions to quickly move or complete them.

Workers are automatically checked in when they arrive at a project site and checked out when they leave. Project managers can set site locations with a map pin and view attendance in a new dashboard with filters and CSV export.

All project and workspace channels are now visible to every team member in your organization. No need to be added to a project to join its chat. Works on both web and mobile.

Editable task details
Task detail panel is now fully editable — you can change the title, description, status, priority, assignee, and due date directly. Clicking a task title in kanban view now clearly opens the detail panel.
Edit project details
You can now update project details after creation. Go to any project's Settings tab to edit the name, client info, dates, area, contract value, and more.

Chat with your team right inside Biltit. Every project automatically gets its own channel, and there's a General channel for workspace-wide conversations. You can also create custom channels. Unread badges keep you on top of new messages. Available on both web and mobile.
Security hardening for workspace data
Strengthened data isolation across workspaces. All messaging actions now verify you belong to the same workspace before sending or reading messages. Added database-level security policies on projects, tasks, messages, files, and other core tables as an extra safety layer.
Login reliability improved
Fixed a login issue on iPad and some devices where sign-in would fail due to secure storage limits. Sessions are now stored reliably on all devices.
Task comments now work
Fixed an issue where adding a comment on a task did nothing. Comments are now saved and appear in real time. You can also press Enter to send.
Workspace data isolation
Fixed an issue where inbox messages, decisions, and other data could appear across workspaces. All data is now strictly scoped to your own workspace.

Plus voice dictation for field reports, biometric app lock, share photos from camera to Biltit, and smart morning briefing notifications.
Push notification triggers
Real-time push notifications for task assignments, status changes, new field reports, messages, file approvals, and phase gate decisions. Includes a daily morning briefing with your task summary.
Company logo upload
Upload your company logo in Settings. It appears on exported field reports and documents. Supports PNG, JPG, WebP, and SVG up to 2 MB.
Export field reports as PDF
Click any field report in the calendar view and hit 'Export as PDF'. Opens a beautifully designed report with your company logo, project details, work completed, blockers, site photos, and a 'Powered by Biltit' footer. Use your browser's print dialog to save as PDF.
Dashboards are fully clickable
All dashboard cards are now clickable. On the home page, metric cards link to projects, tasks, and inbox. On a project dashboard, metric cards go to the task board, and budget and team sections link to their detail pages. Task and activity items everywhere take you directly to the relevant page.
Task details optimized for mobile
Opening a task on mobile now shows a full-screen view instead of a cramped side panel. Dates and timestamps are no longer cut off. The view properly accounts for the bottom navigation bar.
Project timeline with Gantt chart
The project Timeline page now shows a proper Gantt chart. Task bars are positioned by their actual start and due dates. Phases show as background bands. A red line marks today. Weekend days are shaded. Hover any task bar to see full details. Unscheduled tasks are listed separately so you know what still needs dates.
Task dependencies
Tasks can now depend on other tasks. Dependencies appear as arrows on the timeline connecting one task's end to another task's start. This helps you see which tasks are blocking others.
Redesigned sidebar navigation
The sidebar is now split into two sections: Workspace (for managers — Projects, Team, Reports, Files) and You (for everyone — Home, My Projects, My Tasks, Inbox). Your workspace name appears under the logo, and your avatar shows your real initials and role badge. Non-managers now have quick access to their assigned projects via My Projects.
Weekly Snapshot reports
The Reports page now shows a weekly snapshot of all your projects. See tasks completed this week, overdue items, budget burn, field report activity, and blockers — all in one view. Click any project to expand full details. Export as PDF to share with stakeholders.
Accurate tenant activity status in admin
Tenant status (active, at risk, churned) is now tracked correctly. Login timestamps are recorded on every sign-in so the admin dashboard reflects real activity.
Field report calendar
The field report page now shows a monthly calendar on the right side. Days with submitted reports are marked with a dot. Click any day to see the full report details — who submitted, work completed, blockers with severity, and photo count.
Secure file management
File uploads now enforce size limits (50 MB), allowed file types, and role-based permissions. Download links expire after 1 hour for added security. Version numbers auto-increment when re-uploading the same file to a phase. Clients can only see files marked as client-visible.
Fixed console error after onboarding
New users no longer see a 403 error in the console caused by the admin impersonation check running for all users.
Dashboard now shows only your workspace data
Fixed an issue where the dashboard could show projects, tasks, and activity from other workspaces. All dashboard data is now correctly scoped to your workspace.
Onboarding fix for new accounts
Fixed an issue where completing the onboarding form could fail with a server error. New accounts now set up correctly on first try.
Better email verification error handling
Clicking an expired or already-used email verification link now shows a friendly message on the login page instead of a raw error.
Public docs and FAQ page
Added a public documentation page with feature guides, getting started instructions, and answers to frequently asked questions — accessible from the main navigation without signing in.
Notification bell and alerts
A bell icon on the home screen shows your unread notification count. Tap it to see all your notifications — task assignments, status changes, approvals, blockers, and daily reminders. Each notification deep-links to the relevant screen.
Smart push notifications
Get notified instantly when a task is assigned to you, its status changes, a phase gate is approved, or a blocker is reported. Daily reminders nudge you about overdue tasks and pending approvals.
Polished card borders on iOS
Fixed dark border artifacts on cards, inputs, and list separators throughout the app. All borders now render cleanly on iOS.
Project assignment warnings on Team page
Team members who aren't assigned to any project now show a warning with a quick-assign button. Each member card also displays which projects they belong to.
Streamlined navigation
Simplified to 4 tabs: Home, Report, Inbox, Profile. Tasks and approvals now live inside each project — tap a project to see everything in one place. Tab bar stays visible on all screens.
Home dashboard and project detail
New home screen with KPI cards, your tasks, and project list. Tap any project to see phases, progress, team, and task summary.
Custom Biltit app icon
The app now shows the Biltit brand mark as its icon on your home screen, splash screen, and notifications.
Offline banner and sync polish
A banner now appears at the top of the screen when you're offline, and the pending sync counter on your profile refreshes automatically.
Notification preferences
Customize which push notifications you receive, toggle individual categories on or off, and set quiet hours so you're not disturbed outside work.
Offline mode for mobile
Task status changes, field reports, and photo uploads now queue automatically when you're offline and sync when connectivity returns.
Push notifications
Get notified about task assignments, approvals, blockers, and more. Customize which notifications you receive and set quiet hours in your profile.
Field report redesign
The daily field report now supports blocker severity levels (Low, Medium, Urgent), real photo uploads with previews, and automatically notifies your PM and design manager when submitted.
More project types and currencies
When creating a project you can now choose from more types including Hospitality, Retail, Renovation, Landscape, Industrial, and Mixed Use. We also added more currencies like EGP, AED, SAR, and many others.
What's New page
You're looking at it! This page shows all the latest updates, new features, and bug fixes so you always know what's changed.
Admin gets notified on bug reports
When you submit a bug report or feature request, the admin team now gets an email notification so they can respond faster.
Online/Offline status
You can now see who's online or offline in the Team page. A green dot means they're currently active.
April 2026
Delete a project safely
Project owners and project managers can now delete a project from the new Settings tab. You'll need to type "Delete" to confirm — no accidental deletions.
Clients are automatically invited
When you create a project and enter a client email, the client automatically gets a branded invite email. They sign up and land directly in the client portal — no extra setup needed.
Client portal routing fixed
Fixed a bug where client users could sometimes see employee pages instead of the client portal. Clients now always land in the right place.
Admin impersonation fix
When an admin impersonates a user, the system now properly switches to that user's workspace. Previously it could show the wrong data.
Team invites
Invite team members to your workspace via email. They receive a branded invite, click the link, register, and join your studio instantly.
Remove team members
Project managers and admins can now remove team members from the workspace. The member keeps their account but loses access to your projects.
Task board
Tasks now have a kanban board with drag-and-drop. Move tasks through Backlog, To Do, In Progress, Review, and Done stages.
Budget tracking
Track project expenses, payments, and change orders. See how much of your contract value has been spent at a glance.
File management
Upload and organize project files. Control visibility — mark files as internal-only or client-visible.
Client portal
Clients get their own portal to view project progress, approve phase gates, and send messages — without seeing internal details.
Admin platform
Super admins can now manage all tenants, users, feature flags, and monitor system health from a dedicated admin dashboard.
Support tickets
Need help? Submit a support ticket right from the app. Track your ticket status and get responses from the team.
